The President of Partisanship

President Barack Obama was supposed to be a lot of different things to a lot of different people. He was supposed to be the first post-racial president. He was supposed to be the uniter. He was supposed to be the answer to our economic woes. He was supposed the stalwart of national defense.

All he’s succeeded in doing is more than doubling our debt, making the recession longer, and fueling racist rhetoric in this country unabated.

It’s been a rough year. Since President Obama has taken office a lot of important people have died. The president has made public statements about them, including President Bongo of Gabon. Who?

Within an hour of Walter Cronkite’s passing, Obama released a statement about his death. Of course, Cronkite was a stalwart left-wing media mouthpiece, so it’s only natural for the President to recognize the passing of a huge media icon. But, should the president be the president of EVERYONE and not just the people he agrees with?

Case in point is the passing today of Irving Kristol. Kristol brought back the conservative movement from the brink in the 60′s and 70′s. He’s responsible for the election of Ronald Reagan. He was presented with the Medal of Freedom! And yet, no mention from the White House of his passing. Is this because he’s of another political party? How utterly disgusting, shameful and obscene behavior from the president OF THE UNITED STATES.
